Do you enjoy downhill (alpine) skiing? Would you like to learn how to ski race? Did you know that one of the Winter sports you can learn and enjoy as a Minneapolis public school student is alpine (downhill) ski racing. We call ourselves the Minneapolis Alpine Ski Team (MAST). Over 100 student-athletes join our team every year and we would like to welcome even more MPS students to our ski team.
MAST is open to Minneapolis students in grades 7-12. Everybody races as part of a team, either varsity or junior varsity. No racing experience is necessary. We offer excellent coaching and training, a fun and friendly team atmosphere, exciting competitions against other high school ski teams, and the chance to participate in the fastest, non-motorized sport in the world! Here is the best part: with hard work and lots of practice, you will become an expert skier. And you will have a great sport to enjoy for the rest of your life.
