Important Information for the Incoming Class of 2030

  • Open House for Prospective Families - Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
  • Interested in a tour of Southwest? Click Here to sign up.
  • How to enroll in Southwest - Visit exploremps.org to see the steps and submit your school request by February 9, 2026.
  • 9th Grade Registration Night - Saturday, February 26th, 2026 in the morning
    • This event is 9th graders that have a confirmed enrollment place at Southwest for the 2026-2027 School Year.
  • Registration opens for fall sports - See our Athletics pages for online registration information.
  • First Day of Fall Sports - August 17, 2026.
  • Date TBD (Typically one evening before Labor Day Weekend) - Curriculum Night for Southwest students & families
  • Freshman Orientation/First Day of School - Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.
    • Our 9th graders will arrive at 8:30 am to kick off their freshman year. They will be greeted by staff and our Anchor Crew, receive orientation, take a tour, and be ready to start classes in the afternoon.

  • Open House for Prospective Families - Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

  • How to enroll in Southwest - Visit exploremps.org to see the steps and submit your school request by February 9, 2026.
  • May 2026 - We will start setting up appointments for registration with our counselors for your student to pick out classes.
  • Registration opens for fall sports - See our Athletics pages for online registration information.
  • First Day of Fall Sports - August 17, 2026.
  • Date TBD (Typically one evening before Labor Day Weekend) - Curriculum Night for Southwest students & families
  • First Day of School - Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.
    • Our 9th graders will start their morning with orientation at 8:30 am. Our 10th, 11th, and 12th graders should plan on arriving for classes at 12:30 pm. There is not an orientation for our new 10th, 11th, and 12th graders since they will have one-on-one meetings with their counselors.
